First Communion Retreat

The First Communion Retreat for ALL children preparing to celebrate the Sacrament this May, is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 9:00AM-1:00PM. The day will include a series of workshops, including a music workshop, craft workshop, skit/story workshop, Sacrament workshop, Bread workshop and game/snack time. The day will conclude with a worship service in the church at 12:30PM. Parents are invited to join us for the worship service. Completed First Communion books are due on April 19^th. Please note that children must be picked up in their classrooms following the service.

CELEBRATIONS ~ This year’s First Communion celebrations are scheduled as follow: Saturday, May 10th at 3:00pm ~ Summer Religious Ed and Catholic School children. Please arrive at the Church by 2:30PM. Sunday, May 11th at 2:00pm ~ Fall/Winter Religious Ed and Family Home Study. Please arrive at the Church by 1:30PM. REHEARSALS ~ Rehearsal for ALL candidates is essential and an adult must be present with the children. Rehearsals have been scheduled as follow (please note date & time changes): Thursday, May 8th at 4:30pm ~ Children celebrating Saturday, May 10th. Friday, May 9th at 4:30pm ~ Children celebrating Sunday, May 11th. Please arrive at the Church by 4:15pm PICTURES ~ Donn Bruns Photography will be taking pictures during this year’s First Communion Celebrations. If you would like to purchase photographs of your child, orders are due with payment to the Religious Ed. Office by Tues, May 6th. Order forms & additional information is in your First Communion packets.

Programs and dates for Summer Religious Education Classes are as follow ... Elementary (Gr. 1-6) Session I: Monday, July 7th ~ Thusday, July 17th Session II: Monday, August 4th ~ Thursday, August 14th Jr. High (Gr. 7 & 8) Faith Trek/EDGE: Monday, July 21st ~ Friday, August 1st Vacation Bible School (Pre-school-Gr. 5/6) Monday, August 18th ~ Friday, August 22nd VOLUNTEERS SHOULD CALL NOW to secure a position and your child's placement in the program.
